Rev. Laurel B. Hamilton grew up outside of Milwaukee,  Wisconsin.  She is one of the “cradle Presbyterians.” She attended Trinity University in San Antonio,  Texas. Soon after graduating,  she met her husband,  Dan. While on the support staff of a large mega-church in Houston,  she felt initial stirrings of a call to ministry. A short time later, they moved to the Chicago suburbs,  compliments of her husband’s work at Amoco.  She then attended McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago and graduated from there in 1996. As she states: She then took “the scenic route” to ordained parish ministry. She was ordained four years ago before coming to IPC.
